Our fleece coats come in a variety of patterns and plain colours, double layered and single layered.
The double fleeces are ideal for extra warmth in winter throughout most of the country. It is also worth considering a single layer fleece for spring and autumn, especially in the warmer parts of the North Island.
Measure your hound along their spine from the base of the neck to the base of the tail:
Small will fit hounds up to 70cm (the coats measure approx 70cm from base of neck to end of coat)
Medium will fit hounds up to 75cm (the coats measure approx 75cm from base of neck to end of coat)
Large will fit hounds up to 80cm (the coats measure approx 80cm from base of neck to end of coat; formerly labeled as Medium Plus)
Extra Large will fit hounds up to and over 84cm (the coats measure approx 84cm from base of neck to end of coat; formerly labeled as Large)
The coats have adjustable ties around the tummy so have quite a bit of flexibility in the sizing. They are designed to hang over the tail slightly for maximum warmth.
All our coats are handcut and measured so there may be 1-2cm variation in the sizes given above.
Our raincoats are made with a quality soft shell fabric and are designed to fit the unique greyhound shape. Soft shell is a technical sportswear fabric that has a water and wind resistant outer layer, backed with a light microbonded fleece on the inside for warmth. Unlike some raincoats, soft shell is breathable which means it is great for walking in as your greyhound can overheat in some fabrics.
Our raincoats follow the same sizing as the fleece coats and are designed to hang over the tail slightly for maximum protection from the elements.
Martingale collars come in 1.5 inch and 2 inch widths. Sizing is a personal preference, although the 1.5 inch may be a better fit on the smallest hounds. The collar circumference can be adjusted to fit 99% of greyhounds, from a neck measurement of 13 inches (33cm) up to 18 inches (46cm).
